Now, you and I find ourselves at that place, at the end of a year none of us would want to relive...
We look back with an unmistakable realization of God’s Presence all the way through the days, weeks and months of 2020. Perhaps there were surprises, disappointments, hurts, gains, losses, questions, tears laughter, success and failures. Through it all….God has been faithful.

In a few days we will cross the threshold of a New Year. There are some things that we must leave and not take with us, for they will only slow our progress in the coming twelve months. We dare not carry anger, malice, unforgiveness and disappointments into 2021. So, what do we do with all of those issues? We can’t drink it away, drug it away, party it away or medicate it. I Peter Chapter 5 teaches us to “cast ALL our care upon God for He cares for us. One songwriter expressed it this way:
Leave It There! Leave It There!
Take Your Burden To The Lord And Leave It There
If You Trust And Never Doubt
He Will Surely Bring You Out
Take Your Burden To The Lord And Leave It There!
The journey through the New Year will require prayer, planning, preparation, patience and much perseverance. We must have the Presence, Promises, Protection, Peace and Provisions of God. He will never fail you, forsake you or forget you… He is forever faithful. This promise from the book of Isaiah is a Good Word from God for us to stand on as we leave 2020 and go into the New Year:
“Fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will help thee, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10
Sharon and I extend to each of you prayers for a very Blessed and Prosperous New Year!
