“...go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16-15

The mandate of the Master is clear: God’s church is to go global with the Gospel. Is your church a “come and hear” church or a “go and tell” church? Beautiful buildings, good worship, cutting edge technology, nor anointed preaching are substitutes for going and telling. In Mississippi, we are believing for a great harvest of souls. Indeed, the hour is late…. world events evidence the fact we are on the precipice of the Lord’s return. With urgency we must go and tell. Jesus said, go into all the world and preach the gospel. God’s church must be a preaching church.
“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.”
(Mark 1:14)
“And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere.”
(Luke 9:6)
“And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.”
(Acts 8:25)
The mandate is clear: we must go……we must preach….and the message to be preached is the Gospel. Notice with me what Paul said about the Gospel:
“So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
(Romans 1:15-16)
Isn’t it amazing that after the passing of over two-thousand years, the Gospel of Jesus Christ still has the power to change lives? The Gospel: the message of salvation through faith/trust in Christ and His atoning work on the cross. There is power in the preached Gospel. The alcoholic will pour out his whiskey, the addict will stop doping, the adulterer will go home, the homosexual can become holy and those bound by pornography become free…. the Gospel! When sinners are present and the Gospel is preached in love, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit-souls are saved-the church grows and God’s Kingdom is advanced.
Pastor---keep praying, keep preparing, keep preaching and keep compelling your people to go and tell. May every church be generous in their support of missions. Singers keep singing the Gospel and teachers keep teaching the Gospel, believers keep living the Gospel.…. Harvest is coming!
